How to Properly Unclog Toilet Bowls

Clogged toilet bowls are something nobody wants to deal with but, let’s face it, we all do multiple times in our lives. There are a few different steps to take before calling the plumber, as most clogs can be rectified with just a little help from some tools and a good flush or two. Toilet bowls can be expensive to hire maintenance for, so it’s best to give it a real good try yourself before resorting to paying someone.
First, you should try a plunger. A lot of people don’t realize the right way to plunge and just give it a try without doing it properly. There should be a good amount of water in the bowl already to help increase pressure. You should push down slowly, making sure the plunger is placed correctly within the start of the pipe, then lift quickly. This will give it proper suction and should move most issues, like bunched up toilet paper.
If that doesn’t work, it may be time to invest in a pipe cleaner and declogger made for toilet bowls. They can be a little pricey but if they work, will still save you a lot more money than dealing with a plumber. They are easy to use and should get things moving again!

Cleaning the bathroom is never a fun task. No one wants to do it, but for your health and safety, it has to be done. It’s arguably the most used room of a household and needs to be cleaned on the regular. One important part of the bathroom is the toilet bowl and you need to make sure you are thorough.
Toilet bowls need to be cleaned the right way. You need to use a cleaning agent with bleach in it to really get all the bacteria off it. Wipe down every surface from the tank to base, the seat top and bottom and the rim of the bowl. Don’t forget the handle to flush as well, since that’s the most used. Leave no surface untouched!
When that’s finished, it’s time to move on to the inside with a toilet scrubbing brush. Make sure you get all around the upper edges, where dirt gets trapped and is often forgotten about. When your down, you can use a cleaning liquid that will sit in the water for about 20 minutes or so, to disinfect the bowl.
When you are cleaning toilet bowls, it’s all about being a completionist. Take your time because how well you do this job is going to make the difference between staying healthy and getting sick.

Yes, that’s right. Some people enjoy cold baths. But this odd ritual may surprise you. When you think about it and feel the rising temperatures outside, taking a cold bath is not all that bad. After all, what could be better during a hot steamy summer day than to soak in cold water. Pools are exactly that – large cold water baths. And a soaking tub filled with cold water can be that refreshing burst that you need, whether it’s at the end of the day when you come home sweating to an un-air conditioned apartment that seems to have only captured all of the day’s heat inside it, or whether it’s a quick break during your day.

If you live near your workplace, try to sneak out during lunch and take a quick cold water bath. It doesn’t have to be freezing cold. Just enough to get you energized and back to work. And it can be just as relaxing as a hot water bath. Making sure you have a proper soaking tub is just as important as making sure you have proper toilet bowls. It can give you a better quality of life. Think about taking that cold bath during the next hot day.
